Superhero Movies coming out this summer!

Well it's almost summer and that means one thing, Blockbuster movies! Recently it has also meant a plethora of good (and bad) superhero movies. But don't worry, I have all ready made a deal with my wife (I saw "Water for Elephants") that we are going to see all of them so you don't have to. This summer I will watch the movies and write a review on them so that you can choose to spend your hard earn cash on a "hit" or a "bust." Here are some trailers for, Thor (May 6), X-Men: First Class (Jun 3), The Green Lantern (Jun 17), and Captain America (July 22).

The Book that started it all!

I am an English Major so I thought that I should explain what book inspired my need to read. I hope that this may inspire you to find that one book that changes who you are. My book is "Ender's Shadow" by Orson Scott Card. This book is not necessarily a sequel, but more like a side story to "Ender's Game." "Ender's Shadow" put's Bean as the antagonist and follows the story of "Ender's Game"through the eyes of Bean. Bean is the smartest kid in the space station and also the smallest. He has many trials and tribulations, but none harder than getting the approval of Ender. Bean is a much more relatable character  than Ender and more likable as well. His story also reveals more of what this future Earth is like. It also shows what happens to Earth after the Bug Wars. This is the only book I have read more than once. The characters are so engaging and engrossing. I know it's a good book when by the end I want more and I actually care about the characters. I have never cared more for the well being of a character than Bean. Ever since reading this book I have been on a quest to find a book that can match the emotions and intrigue that this book gave to me. It opened up a world of literature to me. For that I am forever indebted to Bean.
